Job summary

Gfoat seeks a seasoned Utilities Director to lead city water and wastewater operations, including distribution, production, and collection systems. You will supervise professional, administrative, and technical staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and align goals with the city’s strategic plan.

Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience overseeing multiple divisions.
• Experience directing water/wastewater utilities operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations for water distribution and wastewater systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct daily operations of the water and wastewater divisions.
• Provide staff training and supervision to meet department objectives.
• Ensure compliance with city policies and procedures and safety standards.
• Oversee meters, valves, pumps, and related equipment; monitor SCADA readings.
• Coordinate projects with other city departments and external agencies.
• Prepare department budgets and manage expenditures within approved budgets.
