Job summary

City of Jacksonville Beach is seeking a motivated Utility Service Worker I to support streets, water, sewer, and stormwater projects under the Public Works Department. This semiskilled role requires reliability, physical stamina, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing utilities, locating lines, maintaining equipment, and assisting with traffic control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Florida driver’s license; Class B CDL within six months.
• Knowledge of utility installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and perform manual labor.

Responsibilities

• Install, construct, repair, and maintain public utility systems and infrastructure.
