Job summary

City of Jacksonville Beach is seeking a Utility Service Worker I to perform semiskilled manual work in installation, construction, repair, and maintenance of public utilities and related systems. Work is performed under supervision and may be specialized by department.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a Florida driver’s license, with CDL Class B to be obtained within six months of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license; obtain Class B CDL within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain public utilities and related infrastructure.
• Locate service lines for contractors and utilities.
• Operate construction equipment and maintain tools/vehicles.
• Perform traffic control duties and work outdoors in varied weather.
