Job summary

First Tennessee Human Resource Agency in Bristol, TN seeks a full-time NET Trans Van Driver to transport clients to appointments and for shopping. The late shift is 10 am to 7 pm, Monday through Friday; Sundays are not worked. Must live in Bristol and pass pre-employment screenings.

Employees spend ~95% of time driving and providing passenger assistance. Duties include operating wheelchair-equipped vans, safety driving, and following all agency policies and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class D with Endorsement F driver’s license (minimum required).
• Must pass pre-hire drug and alcohol test and will be subject to random drug/alcohol testing as required by FTA/TDOT and other contracts.
• Must pass a DOT Physical.
• Must submit to DMV checks and background checks.
• Must be over 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operate agency van with safety and defensive driving.
• Provide passenger assistance to clients entering and exiting the vehicle; assist those with mobility impairments.
• Follow FCC/TDOT radio procedures and central office instructions; communicate schedule changes.
• Maintain accurate daily schedules, mileage, and time records; complete paperwork on time.
• Conduct pre-trip van inspections and report maintenance needs.
