Job summary

First Tennessee Human Resource Agency is seeking NET Trans Van Drivers to transport clients to appointments and stores, with a shift starting at 6am, Monday through Friday, and Sundays off. The role emphasizes safety, patient assistance, and adherence to all regulations, with required pre-employment checks and a strong benefits package.

Responsibilities include operating agency vans (including wheelchair lifts), proper fare handling, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class D with Endorsement F driver’s license.
• Must pass a pre-hire drug and alcohol test and will be subject to random drug/alcohol testing.
• Must pass a DOT Physical.
• Must submit a 10 year pre-hire DMV check and annual DMV report.
• Must pass a pre-hire functional ability screening.
• Must submit to a pre-hire criminal background check.
• Must be over 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Obey all traffic laws and safety precautions during van operation.
• Provide passenger assistance to clients entering/exiting the van, including mobility-impaired passengers.
• Follow central office instructions and radio/communication protocols for schedule changes.
• Maintain daily schedules, mileage and time records; submit paperwork timely.
• Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and report van issues; keep van clean.
