Job summary

Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is seeking a Manager of Public Spaces to help implement strategy and oversee the daily operations of Arts Landing and other public spaces in the Cultural District. You will coordinate events, rentals, and partner communications to ensure safe, welcoming, and engaging spaces for visitors.

The role requires 3–5 years overall experience with at least 2 years in event management or related fields, plus strong MS Office and vendor coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience overall, with a minimum of 2 years in event management, venue operations, placemaking, arts management, public space management, or related field.
• Prior experience supervising or coordinating part-time staff, seasonal staff, contractors, volunteers, or event support personnel preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with venue/event management software (Momentus Elite, Ungerboeck) and event layout/site planning tools (Social Tables, OnePlan) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as deputy to the Director of Public Spaces by helping to implement public space strategy and oversee daily priorities.
• Manage day-to-day operations and activation of Arts Landing and other Trust public spaces as assigned.
• Support implementation of public space policies, procedures, event protocols, emergency/weather procedures, and partner guidelines; suggest updates based on needs.
