Job summary

Burke County in North Carolina is seeking a professional to support performance, strategy, and Innovation efforts. The position assists in implementing the policies and goals of the Burke County Board of Commissioners and helps draft the annual county budget.

Responsibilities include analyzing staffing and workflows, directing CQI activities, developing plans and procedures to improve operations, and communicating with the Board and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• At least three years of experience in performance and management.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Reviews Burke County staffing and workflows, recommending improvements.
• Directs CQI activities, publishes reports, and trains staff.
• Develops and implements county plans, programs, and procedures.
• Monitors budgets and prepares related reports for the Board.
• Represents Burke County in meetings with leadership and stakeholders.
