Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in Augusta is seeking a Senior Auditor to monitor audits of programs and support timely responses to inquiries. Requires CPA/CIA/CISA or advanced degree with audit experience, plus significant supervisory capabilities.

The role includes mentoring staff, planning audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and Uniform Guidance. Partial telework is allowed with management approval.

Competenze

• CPA, CIA, or CISA certification, or a Masters Degree in Business Administration with one year of accounting or audit experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field with three years of auditing and accounting experience
• Experience meeting CPA Examination requirements (150 semester hours, 15 hours accounting/auditing/ethics, etc.) with three years of relevant auditing experience
• Ten years of practical accounting or auditing experience at a professional level

Mansioni

• Work on the Internal Audit team monitoring audits of the Department’s programs
• Coordinate with the State Auditor and Controller’s Office to respond timely to inquiries
• Apply GAAP, Uniform Guidance, and GAAS to perform supervisory auditing work
• Mentor and supervise audit staff, interpreting regulations and policies
• Assist management in annual planning and work program development
• Be detail oriented, work independently with initiative
