Zusammenfassung

Facility Contract Services is seeking a Payables/Procurement Specialist to support the City of Pembroke Pines Police Department. The role focuses on processing invoices, requisitions, and ensuring timely vendor payments in compliance with city policies.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of accounting or related experience, an associate degree is preferred, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong communication and financial knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of two (2) years of professional accounting or similar administrative experience in public or private enterprises.
• Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of finance.
• Ability to critically analyze information and problem-solve.

Aufgaben

• Process accounts payable invoices for payment after verifying compliance with established city procedures.
• Research and reconcile invoices listed on monthly vendor statements.
• Review all department expenditure requests for policy compliance, including budget availability and approval status.
• Process purchase requisitions and change orders.
• Assist with and coordinate the payment of invoices with City Finance and close out open purchase orders before fiscal year end.
• Respond to telephone or in-person inquiries from city personnel.
• Perform administrative tasks related to finance.
