Job summary

Teradata seeks a New Logo Account Executive for Public Sector to drive net-new opportunities across federal, state, local, and education accounts. You will build executive relationships and translate agency priorities into Teradata data, analytics, and AI solutions.

In this hunter role, you will prospect, negotiate, and drive opportunities through the full sales cycle, partnering with IE, SE, ISR, and alliance teams while aligning with procurement and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
• Quota-carrying new logo sales experience in cloud, data, analytics, AI, enterprise software, IT solutions, or consulting services.
• Experience selling to Federal, State, Local Government, or Higher Education accounts is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of public sector processes, procurement cycles, compliance, modernization priorities, and trends.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive, business, procurement, and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Identify, engage, and acquire new public sector customers within an assigned territory.
• Develop account penetration strategies to generate net-new opportunities and drive revenue growth.
• Collaborate with IE, SE, ISR, and alliance partners to design and present data, analytics, and AI solutions.
• Develop and execute strategic territory plans to achieve new logo sales and services objectives.
• Stay current on government technology trends, funding initiatives, and procurement models.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline and forecast revenue in CRM.
• Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and proposal development with procurement timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver successful project delivery and customer experience.
• Provide market insights to inform Teradata's offerings and GTM strategy.
