Job summary

Candidates should have a bachelor degree in accounting or related field with 2–4 years auditing experience; proficiency in Word and Excel is required; knowledge of government chart of accounts and general ledger is helpful.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
• 2-4 years auditing experience, preferably in a county government.
• Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Perform government internal auditing and reporting.
• Conduct financial and procedural compliance audits of elected officials, fee offices, agencies and other entities.
• Prepare, analyze, report, and verify reporting of county fees and revenues.
• Evaluate internal controls and recommend corrective measures.
• Draft audit recommendations and reports.
• Review documentation of transactions and financial activity.
• Understand the chart of accounts and general ledger as it pertains to revenue.
