Job summary

Sierra is leading the way in AI-powered public sector solutions, and is building a founding public sector team to redefine government engagement. The GTM technical expert will own pre-sales, shape use cases, and demo the platform for federal and state customers, collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering to continuously improve the product for public sector needs.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in Sales Engineering or customer-facing technical sales with 2+ years supporting US federal, state, or local government.
• Experience in demo building, presentation, and GTM customer interactions.
• Proven ability to build relationships with executives and technical leaders.
• Experience leading sales processes with public sector customers; familiarity with FedRAMP and government auth processes.
• Comfort founding or joining a new team; strong cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to translate customer problems into Sierra solutions for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to leverage AI tools in sales motions while ensuring accuracy of outputs.
• Bachelor's degree or above; CS-related degree bonus.

Responsibilities

• GTM technical expert: own end-to-end pre-sales for government institutions, scope use cases, and demo Sierra's platform.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product and Agent Engineering to drive GTM and product improvements.
• Lead and support customers as a GTM and technical leader in early conversations.
• Partner with industry leadership to build and scale the public sector team.
