Job summary

The Idaho State Board of Education is seeking a Financial Specialist to ensure GAAP and Governmental Standards are applied correctly. You will handle requisitions, accounts payable, payroll, P-card, and travel transactions, ensuring policy compliance and accurate coding within the agency's chart of accounts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state accounting, payroll, purchasing and travel processes.
• Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Office support skills including preparing professional documents.

Responsibilities

• Process and approve P-card and travel transactions.
• Process accounts payable and prepare adjusting journal entries.
• Prepare GL reconciliations and ad hoc financial reports.
• Assist staff with policy interpretation and training on P-card, travel and AP.
• Support month-end close and special fiscal projects.
