Zusammenfassung

The Department of Social Services in Yankton, SD is seeking a fiscal operations leader to oversee all financial operations at the Human Services Center. The role directs budgeting, billing, contracts, purchasing and personnel management to ensure fiscal integrity and compliant resource use.

Reporting to the CFO, the incumbent will manage patient billing systems, Medicare/Medicaid/insurance claims and forecast expenditures while maintaining internal controls and capital asset inventory in line

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, generally accepted auditing standards.
• Internal control development and monitoring (risk control matrix).
• Computerized accounting software proficiency.
• Office management and state accounting system familiarity.
• Purchasing policies and procedures; contract negotiation & management.
• Patient billing including insurance claims and collections; insurance provider agreements; cost reporting.

Aufgaben

• Oversee all financial operations for the Human Services Center.
• Coordinate annual budget, monitor account reconciliations and forecast expenditures.
• Review and approve expenditures; coordinate contracts with outside medical providers.
• Maintain patient billing system and ensure proper billing to self-pay, Medicare, Medicaid, IHS and private insurance.
• Manage purchasing, accounts payable/receivable and capital assets inventory to ensure compliance.
