State of Wyoming is seeking an Accountant in Cheyenne to support the Administrative Services Division. The role handles revenue and expenditure activities and ensures internal controls and accurate reporting for a ~US$200 million trust income stream.

The position emphasizes knowledge of land-management funding, accountability, and compliance with state statutes, with opportunities for professional growth and public service impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field.
• 0-1 year of progressive work experience in Finance at Accounting Technician level.
• OR 3-4 years of progressive work experience in Finance at Accounting Technician level.

Responsibilities

• Organizes cash receipts in the Wyoming Online Financial System (WOLFS).
• Processes WOLFS documents for A/P and A/R including encumbrances and revenue modifications.
• Maintains vendor records and processes purchasing card payments.
