The Office of State Lands and Investments (OSLI), an agency committed to effectively managing natural resources and funds for current and future generations, seeks an Accountant in the Administrative Services Division. This position provides fiscal support related to land management procedures and administration, including knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, and statutes related to the management of approximately 3.5 million acres of State Trust Land. This Accountant position assists the Principal Accountant with the processing and maintenance of revenue and expenditure activities for OSLI. This position is responsible for revenue collection and distributions for OSLI, which averages approximately $200 million annually for the trust beneficiaries. These revenue streams include Annual Grazing Lease Payments, Excess Grazing Rentals, Temporary and Special Use Permits, Surface Impact Payments, Right-of-ways/Easements, Forestry Timber, Slash and Bond payments, and Mineral Royalty and Lease payments.
This position is located in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Cheyenne is a full-service community, home to over 60,000 residents. Cheyenne is near four-season outdoor recreation areas, including the Snowy Range and the Medicine Bow National Forest, home to world-class rock climbing at Vedauwoo. In addition, the location provides convenient access to the Colorado Front Range communities, including Fort Collins and Denver, and Denver International Airport. Wyoming is one of only seven states with no state income tax.
