Job summary

The State of Wyoming is seeking a qualified Accountant to support the Grants & General Accounting team. The role focuses on GAAP compliance, monitoring grant expenditures and revenues for federal reporting, and assisting with federal drawdown of funds.

Responsibilities include SEFA preparation, fiscal reporting, and processing travel vouchers, with preference for WOLFS knowledge and strong Excel skills. This on-site position offers competitive benefits and a path to professional growth.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree (Finance)
• Experience: 0-3 years in Finance at Senior Accountant level
• OR 4-6 years in Finance at Senior Accountant level
• Knowledge of GAAP, GASB and governmental budgeting processes
• Familiarity with WOLFS system and grant management
• Strong Excel/Access/Word skills and analytical reporting abilities

Responsibilities

• Monitor grant sub-recipients and analyze expenditures for federal reporting
• Assist in federal drawdown of funds and SEFA submissions
• Prepare fiscal reports for grant expenditures and federal reimbursements
• Prepare Federal Financial Reports for assigned grants
• Process travel expense vouchers for the Agency
