Job summary

Google Public Sector in California seeks a Field Sales Representative to drive revenue with state and local entities, focusing on public health and education solutions. You will manage territory strategies, engage senior leaders, and align Google Cloud capabilities to California priorities and procurement rules.

Lead end-to-end sales with consultative value selling, coordinating across Solutions Engineering, Legal, and Partners to deliver commitments and increased consumption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with quota-carrying enterprise technology/cloud sales selling into State and Local Government (SLED).
• Experience navigating State of California departments and agencies.
• Experience with government contracting, procurement rules, and competitive bidding processes in California.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute territory and account strategies across CalHHS departments and affiliated entities.
• Establish trusted advisor relationships with cabinet-level leaders, Agency CIOs, CDOs, procurement officers, and program directors.
• Align Google Cloud capabilities to state health priorities, public benefit delivery, and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, FedRAMP, MARS-E).
• Partner with CSMs, Cloud Architects, and Partner Delivery teams post-signature to ensure onboarding and consumption ramp.
• Navigate California state procurement mechanisms, MSAs, SLPs, LPAs, and RFP processes.
