Job summary

Google Cloud Platform team is seeking a Field Sales Representative for Public Sector in California. You will drive growth with higher education and public sector accounts, shaping strategies and delivering outcomes with a consultative value-selling approach.

You will partner with cross-functional teams, manage complex deals, and build relationships with C-level stakeholders at universities and government-related entities. Position may be located in Los Angeles, Irvine, or Playa Vista, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required.
• 10 years of quota-carrying cloud or software sales experience in B2B software.
• Experience in public sector market, including Higher Education in California.
• Experience engaging and building relationships with a wide range of internal teams and customer stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with VP-level and data scientists to move data workloads to Google Cloud.
• Build and nurture partnerships with institutional leaders (CIOs, CISOs, Provosts, Chancellors).
• Position Google Cloud training, certifications, and Workspace tools to enhance student career readiness and collaboration.
• Meet or exceed strategic goals related to Google Cloud consumption and ARR.
• Lead the introduction of Google AI/ML tools to academic researchers.
