Job summary

Dexis is seeking a Digital Communications Specialist to support a U.S. Government Agency. You will manage social media, web, and email content, ensuring brand consistency and transparent messaging.

The role emphasizes content creation, campaign execution, performance monitoring, and ongoing engagement with stakeholders. Onsite work five days a week with a strong emphasis on collaboration, deadlines, and public-facing communications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, English, communications, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in media relations or a communications/journalism role.
• Excellent grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The contractor shall be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and schedule engaging social media content aligned to brand voice and campaign goals.
• Support the planning and execution of integrated social media campaigns, including content calendars, asset coordination, and approvals.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to translate communications objectives into platform-appropriate messaging and content formats.
• Monitor social media channels daily for comments, messages, and engagement.
• Conduct social listening and trend monitoring to identify opportunities, risks, and conversations relevant to the organization.
• Track and report on social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to optimize future content.
• Maintain and update website content within the CMS, including minor edits and news postings.
• Support website content governance by checking links, formatting, accessibility basics, and branding standards.
• Assist in building and deploying email marketing campaigns, including drafting copy and segmenting lists.
• Monitor email metrics and summarize results with suggested improvements for subject lines and timing.
• Coordinate with design, video, and other partners to manage assets and ensure deadlines across channels.
• Maintain organized documentation (calendars, briefs, dashboards, SOPs) to support efficient execution.
