Job summary

Stantec in the United States is seeking a Project Controls Coordinator-Contract Administrator to ensure contract and financial compliance on government and public-agency projects. You will work with Project Management, Project Controls, Project Accounting, and Marketing to keep contracts aligned with terms and drive on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or finance required.
• 5+ years supporting transportation or public-sector projects.
• Experience with Caltrans or other state DOT contracts preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state and federal contract requirements across prime contracts, task orders, amendments, and modifications.
• Interpret and apply rates, funding limits, and authorization requirements correctly.
• Track and report on project cost performance; prepare month-end reports.
• Provide contract compliance guidance to project teams.
• Coordinate with Project Controls and Project Accounting to confirm invoices align with contractual requirements and approved rates.
• Maintain complete, accurate billing support and financial exhibits.
• Lead coordination of subconsultant compliance activities.
• Maintain auditable contract and financial records across teams.
