Job summary

Orange County Government is seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to lead multi-project efforts, planning, coordinating and delivering complex construction initiatives in Central Florida.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, with option to substitute additional experience for education. On-site duties include occasional night/weekend shifts and public meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and five years of experience.
• In lieu of the degree requirements, additional relevant experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates projects from design to delivery for Orange County Departments and Divisions.
• Performs administrative management: procuring consultants, negotiating contracts, reporting and monitoring.
• Assists in planning, proposals, budgets, timelines and expenditure monitoring.
• Manages progress and quality of construction services; prepares observation reports.
• Provides technical management: needs assessment and development of plans and specs.
• Conducts quality control per instructions and testing equipment; archival documentation.
