Job summary

MIRACORP in Fargo, ND is seeking a Project Manager IV to oversee large-scale government facility projects from planning through occupancy. You will manage scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring compliance with codes and safety standards, coordinating with internal teams, A/E firms, and customer agencies.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in CM/Engineering/Architecture and 10 years of experience; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field with at least 10 years of project management experience.
• Master's degree in a related field preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of building design, construction methods, and commercial building systems.
• Proficiency in project management principles, scheduling, cost estimating, and reading construction documents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with customers, teams, and agencies.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple high-value projects.
• Advanced computer skills and familiarity with project management and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple large-scale construction and renovation projects, including scope development, cost estimating, scheduling, procurement coordination, and contractor oversight.
• Prepare Project Management Plans, establish milestones, track progress, and ensure compliance with governing codes, life safety requirements, sustainability standards, and quality assurance expectations.
• Serve as the on-site project manager or inspector, performing daily field oversight, resolving complex construction issues, and ensuring work meets contract requirements and budget constraints.
• Review and recommend approval of design documents, construction submittals, progress evaluations, and invoices; coordinate with A/E firms, contractors, contracting specialists, and customer agencies.
• Provide technical expertise on building systems, workmanship quality, environmental regulations, and construction best practices.
• Facilitate project meetings, maintain strong stakeholder communication, and support a collaborative team environment with acquisition, financial, and program staff.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure projects are delivered on scope, on schedule, and on budget.
• Travel to project sites for inspections, progress reviews, and technical evaluations as required.
