Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect for our public sector team, focused on state, local government and education customers. You will architect cloud-based solutions to improve student and citizen experiences across agencies and institutions.

You will work with government and educational customers to design scalable, secure AWS architectures, create compelling demonstrations, and guide cross-functional teams through the engagement lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• Experience with AWS technologies and cloud services.
• Experience designing cloud solutions for public sector customers.
• Ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements and architectures.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to state, local government, and education customers, designing and building solutions using AWS cloud services.
• Educate and share best practices by delivering technical content, demonstrations, and workshops.
• Translate customer input into technical requirements and collaborate with sales, professional services, and engineering teams.
• Own end-to-end design of cloud architecture solutions with focus on security, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Identify product gaps and mentor teammates on solution design and customer engagements.
