Job summary

Google Public Sector is seeking a Security Customer Engineer to partner with government and educational customers, leading security architectures and driving technical wins across Google Cloud solutions in Reston, VA.

You will translate mission needs into cross-pillar cloud designs, deliver proofs-of-concept, and collaborate with product teams to secure deployments, focusing on security, compliance, and stakeholder communication within the US public sector context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with cloud security architectures and customer-facing roles.
• Experience with Generative AI / LLMs or conversational AI systems.
• Experience presenting to technical stakeholders or executive leaders.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify business opportunities alongside the team, understanding key customer technical objections, and developing the strategies to resolve technical blockers.
• Deliver in-depth security and compliance expertise to support the technical relationship with Google's customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, while partnering directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud and security offerings.
• Demonstrate and prototype integrations with Google Cloud products directly in customer and partner environments.
• Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.
