Job summary

Google Public Sector is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to design scalable security solutions and lead security initiatives across regulated markets. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with system architecture, distributed paradigms, and global infrastructure deployment (e.g., OS administration, software-defined networking, IAM, Kubernetes).
• 2 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols.
• Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable security solutions and assets that reduce risks and meet customer objectives.
• Define and drive long-term security strategies, multi-year roadmaps, and goals for ambiguous problems.
• Build relationships with executive stakeholders, partners, and customers to deliver technical solutions and influence product decisions.
• Evaluate security risks, contribute to policy definitions, and lead full solution lifecycle from development to launch.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to drive team performance and strengthen the engineering relationships.
