Job summary

Google Public Sector is seeking a Practice Customer Engineer for SLED Security to partner with government and education customers. You will lead technical engagements, from high-level discussions to proofs-of-concept and architectural design, driving a technical win and successful deployment of Google Cloud security solutions.

Role requires a US citizen and involves work across Reston, VA and Washington DC, DC.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience with cloud security architectures in a customer-facing or support role.
Experience with security matters (encryption, identity management, access control, SIEM platforms, CNAPP platforms, or network security).
Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
Experience with Generative AI, large language models (LLMs), or conversational AI systems, especially in the development of AI agents or agentic frameworks.

Responsibilities

Identify and qualify business opportunities, understand objections, and resolve blockers.
Deliver in-depth security and compliance expertise to support the technical relationship with customers.
Demonstrate and prototype integrations with Google Cloud products in customer environments.
Recommend integration strategies, architectures, and infrastructure for Google Cloud solutions.
Travel to customer sites, conferences, and related events as required.
