Job summary

Amazon Web Services Puerto Rico LLC is seeking a Solutions Architect to help launch and grow AWS public sector and education business in Puerto Rico. You will work with business development and sales teams to accelerate adoption of AWS across state and local government, K-12, and higher education.

You will design scalable architectures, deliver workshops and proof‑of‑concept engagements, and conduct Well-Architected reviews to modernize customers’ IT environments while supporting partner

Qualifications

• Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience communicating complex ideas to technical and non-technical audiences.
• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 3+ years of IT sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical reference in Puerto Rico, helping to ensure customer success in fulfilling their missions through the creation and migration of applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
• Engage and educate new and existing partner ecosystems, and support their technical implementation efforts.
• Help solution providers and government agencies with the definition and implementation of technical and commercial strategies that enable them to reduce costs and raise the bar for citizen services.
• Capture and share best practices knowledge among the global AWS Solutions Architect community, as well as your SA team.
• Understand AWS market segments, customer base, and industry verticals.
