Job summary

Sambatek is seeking a Client Service Manager to grow and lead our Public Services practice. This entrepreneurial, relationship-driven role targets experienced civil engineers who build strong client partnerships, pursue opportunities, and lead successful projects.

The role emphasizes business development, client engagement, team leadership, and project delivery, leveraging an established network within the public sector to drive growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Established relationships within public-sector transportation or municipal markets.
• Experience with business development, client relationships, and pursuit of new project opportunities.
• Proven ability to develop proposals, scopes of work, project budgets, and other business development materials.
• Strong knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations for public-sector projects.

Responsibilities

• Grow Sambatek's public-sector business by identifying opportunities and pursuing strategic pursuits.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with public-sector clients, agencies, and partners.
• Lead client development and retention efforts with a focus on exceptional client experience.
• Develop and execute annual business development and marketing strategies to support growth within Public Services.
• Identify and pursue RFPs, develop proposals, scopes of work, and project budgets.
• Build strategic partnerships and collaborate across Sambatek's practices to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to key clients and help identify opportunities to expand services.
• Lead projects for strategic public-sector clients, providing hands-on leadership throughout delivery.
• Ensure project scopes and budgets are set and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Mentor project teams and foster knowledge sharing to grow technical and professional skills.
