Maryland Department of Social and Economic Mobility seeks a Chief Information Officer to provide executive leadership for IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital services. You will ensure secure, scalable systems and align operations with agency goals to improve service delivery and digital equity across divisions.

The role emphasizes governance, vendor oversight, and leading IT and data teams in a public-sector environment, with telework/hybrid options and comprehensive benefits.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related field.
• Six (6) years of professional IT experience with at least two years in management/supervision.
• Advanced degree can substitute for part of the experience.
• Candidates must meet supervisory/managerial IT experience requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Direct the agency’s technology strategy, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital services to deliver secure, accessible solutions.
• Oversee enterprise data management and analytics, ensuring privacy compliance and data-driven decisions.
• Act as primary liaison to partner agencies to align systems, performance frameworks, and transparency initiatives.
• Manage relationships with technology vendors to ensure SLAs, security, and deliverables.
• Lead IT and data teams, evaluate emerging technologies, and drive modernization initiatives.
