Job summary

DoSEM Executive Direction seeks a Chief Information Officer to lead the agency's information technology strategy, cybersecurity operations, and digital services. The CIO will drive secure, scalable systems that support public service delivery and coordinate closely with state technology partners.

The role requires guiding IT and data teams, aligning technology operations with agency goals, and ensuring resilient IT governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in IT, CS, MIS or related field.
• Six years of IT experience with at least two years in direct management of technical staff.
• Experience with IT strategy, cybersecurity oversight, and infrastructure management.
• Enterprise data governance and analytics systems management with compliance knowledge.
• Preferred: three years of executive/senior management experience in public sector IT leadership.
• Preferred: experience leading enterprise data governance and system integration initiatives.

The CIO serves as a liaison to state technology partners and leads the agency's IT and data personnel to align technology operations with agency goals.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
• Six years of professional IT experience, including at least two years of direct management and supervision of technical IT staff
• Experience with IT strategy, cybersecurity oversight, and infrastructure management
• Enterprise data governance and analytics systems management with compliance knowledge
• Preferred: Three years of executive/senior management experience directing IT operations in a public sector organization
• Preferred: Three years of experience leading enterprise data governance and system integration initiatives
