Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking a Child Support Services Accountant/Fiscal Analyst to ensure accurate financial reporting and reconcile cost data across 46 Clerks of Court. The role emphasizes compliance, cost reporting, and transparent fiscal management.

Responsibilities include analyzing cost reports, maintaining Excel spreadsheets for reimbursements and filing fees, tracking incentives, safeguarding PII, and serving as P-Card Liaison.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and five years of financial experience.
• Associate Degree and three years of financial experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, government, management, or public administration.
• Bachelor's Degree in any field and one year of financial experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
• If you certify, you will be required to provide a certified official transcript if selected for a job offer.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, compile, and reconcile cost data submitted by all 46 Clerks of Court in the State.
• Analyzes and compiles the Cost Reports from the 46 Clerks of Court.
• Compiles, reconciles, and maintains Excel spreadsheets for Cost Reimbursement, Court Service of Process, Sheriff Service of Process, and Filing Fees.
• Tracks monthly Incentive payments and quarterly Incentive Expenditures incurred.
• Ensures personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed; protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
• Serves as P-Card Liaison.
• Performs Red Cross shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/services as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
