Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking a Child Support Services Accountant/Fiscal Analyst to analyze, compile, and reconcile cost data submitted by all 46 Clerks of Court in the State. The role involves maintaining cost reimbursement and service-related spreadsheets in Excel, tracking monthly incentive payments, and ensuring PII protection across systems.

Candidates may hold varied degrees and must meet education/experience requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with 5 years financial experience.
• Associate Degree with 3 years financial experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, government, management, or public administration.
• Bachelor's Degree in any field and 1 year of financial experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to and be able to operate a motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and compile Cost Reports from the 46 Clerks of Court.
• Compile, reconcile, and maintain Excel spreadsheets for Cost Reimbursement, Court Service of Process, Sheriff Service of Process, and Filing Fees.
• Track monthly Incentive payments and quarterly Incentive Expenditures.
• Ensure proper handling of personal identifying information (PII) and protect agency networks and data.

Bachelor's Degree in any field and one year of financial experience
