Job summary

EY is seeking a staff level professional for its Government & Public Sector Assurance practice. You will serve as a primary day-to-day client contact, build strong relationships with client personnel, and contribute to quality assurance work across engagements.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration, and adapting audit approaches to evolving client needs. You will pursue CPA licensure and related credentials while traveling up to 30% in a hybrid environment, supporting government clients

Qualifications

• A bachelor's or graduate degree and approximately 1 year of related work experience.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain secret clearance or higher.
• Sufficient course work to achieve CPA certification upon passing the examination.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Dedication to teamwork and leadership.
• Travel may be required; work at client, EY or contractor sites in a commutable distance; average travel 25–30% in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary day-to-day contact for clients and develop knowledge of current issues, profession and business developments relevant to the client’s industry.
• Build relationships and expertise with team members to deliver assurance services.
• Document execution of audit procedures as defined by engagement objectives and history.
• Collaborate with assurance team members to set goals and responsibilities.
• Contribute ideas and listen to others to improve audit approaches.
• Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge and enhance service delivery.
• Bring potential opportunities to the assurance team's attention.

Education

Bachelor's or graduate degree in Accounting/Finance

CPA licensure (in your work state)
