Job summary

EY’s Government & Public Sector Assurance practice is expanding, and as a staff member you’ll be a key contributor to delivering quality assurance services for Federal, State, Local and Education clients. You’ll engage with clients, learn industry issues, and collaborate with an assurance team to ensure compliance with objectives and timelines.

You’ll develop relationships, demonstrate professional conduct, and pursue CPA qualification while traveling as needed in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree with about 1 year of related work experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Sufficient coursework to achieve CPA certification.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• Dedication to teamwork and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Be primary day-to-day contact for the client and build relationships with team members.
• Learn about current issues, profession and business developments relevant to the client’s industry.
• Document audit procedures clearly as defined by engagement objectives and history.
• Collaborate with assurance team members to set goals and responsibilities.
• Communicate potential audit issues or unusual relationships to the assurance team.
• Stay informed of current business and economic developments relevant to the client’s business.
