Job summary

Anthropic in San Francisco is seeking startup-minded engineers to grow our public sector team and bring Claude to U.S. government and allied democracies.

You’ll work across the stack to take products from 0 to 1 and beyond, owning deployments that meet strict government security requirements and integrating Claude into government workflows. You’ll collaborate with research, safeguards, and GTM teams to deliver government-ready AI applications, scaling Claude for U.S.

Qualifications

• Experience building AI products and intuition for their capabilities and limits.
• Strong track record shipping enterprise- or government-grade products.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration with sales, legal, research, and policy teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship deployments meeting public sector compliance and security requirements (FedRAMP to classified networks).
• Build AI applications tailored to government workflows by understanding agency operations.
• Partner with research and safeguards teams to evaluate Claude for government use cases.
• Work with government customers and internal GTM teams to turn requirements into roadmaps.
• Design scalable systems for deployment, user management, and admin controls in constrained environments.
• Provide clear technical direction in a fast-moving, high-constraint setting.
