Job summary

Anthropic in San Francisco seeks an experienced International Policy Applied AI advisor to support governments, AISIs, and multilateral bodies on frontier AI deployment and safety. You will collaborate with Policy, Product, Research, and Engineering to develop evaluation demos and communicate complex topics to diverse audiences worldwide.

You will help partners evaluate and adopt leading-edge AI systems, ensure safety standards, and steer public-benefit initiatives using Claude, with a focus on

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working with governments or international organizations
• Experience in technology policy, AI safety, or international affairs
• Strong technical aptitude to collaborate with engineers and comfortable discussing frontier AI
• Ability to explain complex topics to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Act as a primary technical advisor for senior officials in partner governments, AISIs, and international institutions.
• Brief them on frontier AI capabilities, benefits and harms, and safety researchers’ findings in accessible terms.
• Lead demos, pilots, prototypes, and evaluation suites showing Claude’s role in public missions (e.g., cyber defense).
• Collaborate with Policy, Product, Research, and Engineering to align goals and requirements.
• Host onboarding workshops for partner institutions, including national cybersecurity agencies, and guide integration with Claude Code and Claude API.
• Travel internationally to partner institutions for senior leader meetings and relationship-building.
• Shape a shared vision for safe and beneficial AI solutions and drive execution of innovations.
