Job summary

People In AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge our core platform with complex public‑sector customer workflows in New York City, on-site, five days a week. This hands‑on role emphasizes solving real deployment challenges and shaping how our platform operates in the field.

You will work with product and deployment teams to translate requirements into secure, scalable software, integrate with legacy systems, and push reusable platform capabilities while keeping customer success at

Qualifications

Experience shipping production systems end-to-end.
Ability to reason about architectural trade-offs and communicate clearly.
Strong understanding of data flows, APIs, and integrations with unfamiliar systems.

Responsibilities

Build production software that adapts a common platform to complex customer workflows and environments.
Translate operational requirements into technical designs and working systems.
Architect integrations with legacy databases, APIs, infrastructure, and customer-owned systems.
Decide which deployment-specific aspects can be generalized into platform capabilities.
Collaborate with product and customer-facing teams to resolve technical questions and unblock deployments.
Improve internal tooling and abstractions to reduce repeated engineering work.
Use AI development tools to increase velocity while maintaining technical judgment.
