Job summary

Sitreps is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to help public sector customers deploy and operationalize our AI security platform in mission-critical environments.

This hands-on role blends software engineering, customer deployment, and government technology, requiring on-site engagement with federal teams and up to 50% travel; candidate may be based in Washington, DC or San Francisco, CA, with citizenship/clearance considerations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in customer-facing engineering roles or equivalent.
• Strong coding ability in Python, TypeScript, Java, Go, or Bash.
• Experience deploying and operating production software across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Familiarity with AI/ML systems and governance concepts.
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.
• U.S. Citizenship required; active security clearance preferred, with eligibility and willingness to obtain one required.

Responsibilities

• Become deeply fluent in the company's evaluation, guardrail, and agent governance platform.
• Work directly with federal customers to understand mission needs, technical requirements, pain points, and operational constraints, and convert them into practical solution architectures, integrations, and implementation plans.
