Job summary

Florida Department of Corrections in Tallahassee seeks an Accounting Services Analyst B to ensure regulatory compliance and provide professional accounting support across fiscal processes. The role oversees vouchers, data exports, audits, and liaises with DFS and internal staff, reporting to the Office of Finance and Accounting at Southwood Headquarters.

Qualifications

• Basic accounting knowledge and data interpretation required.
• Experience with public sector financial systems preferred.
• Ability to analyze vouchers and prepare reporting data.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with state fiscal standards for payments.
• Verify and process entries using AOD/MFMP and other systems.
• Analyze vouchers daily and coordinate with DFS for audits.
• Export data and prepare reports for staff and stakeholders.
• Review accounting records, encumbrances, and payables.
• Audit invoices for proper certification and authorization.
