Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Tallahassee seeks an Accounting Services Analyst A to support the maintenance and enhancement of departmental systems related to accounting and finances. The role handles data validation, file submission, and security profile management for FLAIR systems, reporting to the Financial Manager I – SES.

The incumbent will develop and maintain programs to automate financial functions, produce reports for internal and external stakeholders, and ensure accurate data

Qualifications

• Knowledge of data processing principles applicable to large-scale computer systems.
• Workable knowledge of SAMAS (FLAIR) and ability to program in Natural, Microsoft Access, Visual Basic and SQL Server.
• Ability to design, develop, test and implement systems of accounting or budgetary nature.

Responsibilities

• Validate data from multiple in-house users and generate final submission data files.
• Ensure files are included in the Systems' FTP application and properly processing FLAIR transaction data.
• Set up and reset security profiles for FLAIR DACA access, FLAIR RACF (NASSAM), FLAIR RDS and FLAIR Information Warehouse.
• Review and update records related to monthly FLAIR Access Control I RACF I Employee Termination audits.
• Develop and maintain documentation for AFAM’s FLAIR transaction validation and submission processing.
• Develop, write, test, debug, document, and maintain computer programs to automate department financial functions.
