Job summary

Travelers in Texas is seeking an Account Executive (Public Sector Services) to partner with agents and brokers for coverage on new and renewal business. You will assess risk, build relationships, and drive profitability and growth while aligning with Travelers' risk appetite.

The role requires underwriting expertise in commercial lines, strong negotiation skills with agents/brokers, and a Bachelor’s degree, CPCU preferred. Some travel to meet external partners is expected.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of relevant underwriting experience with experience in commercial lines.
• Knowledge of commercial lines products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• Strong critical thinking skills to proactively identify underwriting, marketing, or financial challenges.

Responsibilities

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners and external agents/brokers to market Travelers products.
