Job summary

The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) seeks a Behavioral Health and Wellness Coordinator to lead strategic behavioral health programs across the Risk Management Division of the Human Resources Department. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and evaluating wellness initiatives for employees and their families, with emphasis on confidentiality and ethical conduct.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in behavioral or social science, health care administration, human services, public/business administration, legal studies, or a closely related field.
• Two (2) years of professional-level administrative, clinical, and/or supervisory experience, including one year in a healthcare system with responsibilities in program development/monitoring, compliance/quality management, or contracts/budget/fiscal administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in the design, implementation, supervision, and management of behavioral health and wellness programs.
• Coordinate outreach and training to encourage resilience and healthy practices, and to reduce stigma around seeking assistance.
• Partner effectively with employees, leadership, labor representatives, peer support teams, and community providers to ensure integrated wellness services.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries, demonstrating integrity, follow-through, and accountability.
