Job summary

Valley Health is seeking a Program Manager, Public Safety Training and Readiness to lead comprehensive training programs for Public Safety personnel across Valley Health entities. You will ensure timely, compliant training and credentialing across the system.

The role includes coordinating the Gracie Medical Defense aggression management program, maintaining instructor certifications, and supporting security initiatives hospital-wide, including drills and safety assessments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Safety, Emergency Management, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in Public Safety, Security, Law Enforcement, or related field required.
• Healthcare or hospital Public Safety experience preferred.
• CPR/AED certification required.
• Aggression Management and ASP Baton Instructor certifications required within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs for Public Safety personnel.
• Oversee system-wide training initiatives, including the Essentials of Aggression Management program.
• Coordinate training initiatives beyond Public Safety, including active shooter drills and aggressive patient response scenarios.
• Maintain inventory and resources for training and equipment; track participation and certifications.
• Provide instruction and support in training delivery as needed and ensure regulatory compliance.
