Job summary

Johns Hopkins Public Safety is seeking a Manager, Public Safety Training to lead planning, development and delivery of training for University and Medicine Public Safety personnel, supervising the Training Center and a diverse cadre of instructors.

The role includes oversight of the Learning Management System, CJIS and MPCTC compliance, coordination with LASO, CJIS Compliance Officer, TAC, and collaboration with Johns Hopkins institutions to advance safety training and workforce development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Training or related field.
• Five years of leadership in training and development experience.
• Equivalency substitution per JHU policy may substitute for required education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management to implement organizational goals and strategic training programs.
• Lead planning of events and initiatives for public safety personnel and affiliates.
• Manage Learning Management System (LMS) including modules, attendance and records.
• Ensure accuracy and control of training records and certifications.
• Identify training needs and assist in establishing department goals/ objectives.
• Schedule and enroll Public Safety personnel and affiliates in training courses and learning opportunities.
• Oversee basic, advanced and specialized training and assist instructors with lesson plans.
• Maintain training facilities and equipment and enforce security of information.
