City of New Orleans Government is seeking a semi-skilled worker to operate automotive equipment for towing functions within the Parking, Towing and Abandoned Vehicles Unit of the New Orleans Police Department.

The role includes storing and securing crime scene vehicles, with potential exposure to hazardous situations during impoundments. Physical labor may be required when not operating equipment, and duties related to the unit will be performed as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Louisiana Class D driver’s license or higher; GVWR >10,000 pounds authorization.
• Good driving record for the last 18 months.
• No outstanding traffic or parking violations or DWI within last 18 months.

Responsabilités

• Operate automotive equipment for towing functions.
• Store and secure crime scene vehicles.
• May perform light or heavy physical labor when not operating equipment.
