Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a safety and security role; supervisory or management experience is a plus.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED; Incident Command System preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with incident investigation and report writing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with security software is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather; lift at least 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Public Safety & Security team members
• Training, coaching, and mentoring part-time staff to support their development
• Assist with the administration of annual performance evaluations
• Create and manage daily work schedules; address operational questions and challenges
• Contribute to the development and oversight of the fiscal year budget
• Oversee emergency response activities including alarm systems and weather monitoring
• Support organization’s emergency preparedness efforts
• Respond to incidents involving staff, guests, or property
