The City of Austin Building Services Department is hiring a Security Guard to protect people and property, conduct safety inspections, and support emergency response. You will engage with the public, verify identities, monitor access, and maintain orderly, secure environments across City facilities.

Essential duties include patrolling premises, inspecting safety equipment, issuing parking citations where needed, and coordinating with law enforcement and other City departments to ensure safety

Qualificações

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent and 1 year related experience.
• Licenses: May require a valid Texas Driver License.
• Knowledge of local laws, public safety, and emergency procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Guard property against damage, fire, theft, trespassing, and illegal entry.
• Periodically patrol premises and inspect doors, windows, and gates.
• Verify identity of employees and other persons entering the building.
• Investigate disturbances and respond to emergencies to maintain order and safety.
• Provide high-level customer service and information about City services.
