Allied Universal is recruiting a Security Officer Government Facility Access Patrol in Austin, TX. This full-time role involves unarmed patrols, access control, incident response, and visitor support at a government location. Strong customer service and compliance with post orders are essential.

The position requires 1+ year of security experience, high school diploma, and the ability to pass background checks and drug screening. Night and evening shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, public spaces, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and authorized access points; verify credentials and direct visitors in accordance with site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions with public agency personnel and emergency responders.
