The City of Austin is seeking a Security Guard Lead to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for patrons and staff. This role leads day-to-day security operations, conducts patrols, responds to alarms, and trains security personnel across multiple city locations.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership, de-escalation, and problem-solving skills, plus experience with CCTV and access control systems. After-hours events and crowd management are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least 3 years of security-related experience.
• Proven leadership experience in a security team or workgroup.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; de-escalation proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day security operations and patrols across locations.
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances promptly and calmly.
• Provide customer service and information to patrons and staff.
• Train and guide security personnel; enforce policies and procedures.
• Issue and enforce Criminal Trespass Notices as needed; coordinate with police.
• Oversee after-hours events and crowd control; manage cash transport if required.
